2008 Tournament Schedule
New Format
Beginning in 2008, KBF Board has voted to change the Qualifying System to the following:
At all Regional events the new format will be Angler/Co Angler. These events will be 2 tournaments in One. Needing an Observer is now GONE!
Each Regional Qualifier will Qualify 10 Anglers + 10 Co Anglers
From the End of Year Wildcard List 20 Anglers + 20 Co Anglers
1 Wildcard Tournament: 40% of field will Qualify for State Tournament.
Eligibility for Wildcard Tournament: Open only to members that have fished at least 1 event and not previously Qualified.
Withdraws from the State Tournament will be filled from the final standings of the Wildcard Tournament Results.

Entry Fees:
Fish All Four Regionals: $200.00
Regional Event: $ 65.00
Wildcard Tournament: $ 65.00
State Tournament Fee; $ 65.00 (this fee will put $30 toward cost of banquet/tournament expenses & $35 to sidepot payout for Tournament). Any additional monies after expenses and banquet cost will be added to payout.
Answer to your 1st Question: “Why do I have to pay the same entry fee as a Co Angler that the Angler pays”?
The #1 Priority of KBF is to field the following years’ State Team. Team expenses that are covered from entry fees, such as travel, food, and lodging cost the same for everyone.

Youth Members:
For 2008, the Board of Directors felt the need to increase Youth Member dues to $15.00. This increase in dues will help to offset the cost of Youth tournaments and remain with no Entry Fees for the events.
Youth Members that meet age requirements to compete in the Adult Division may still do so, but National Requirements require Membership in an Adult Club.

Following this years Jr State Tournament in which 6 of each age bracket will make up the KBF Jr State Team. The Sou Div event will have will have 6 members from each Age Bracket. These contestants will be paired 1 from each age bracket per boat. 6 Boats only will be required at this event.
The Older Age Bracket contestant will fish the 1st half of the day from the front of boat and have choice of fishing waters.
The Younger Age Bracket contestant will fish the 2nd half of the day from the front of boat and have choice of fishing waters.
In either case, should a contestant not be capable of operating the trolling motor, the BOAT CAPTAIN will run the trolling motor.
